Jessica + Jason – Devens Common Center, Devens, MA

Jess and Jason’s wedding day was a beautiful summer day in August. This was our first Indian wedding and despite the size of the wedding, everything about the day was so warm and intimate.  This wedding was colored with jewel tones and more jewel tones and the gorgeous art of henna on the women…which I just loved!

Jess was just the sweetest, softly spoken bride, but certain of what she hoped for her wedding day to be.  And Jason was definitely her prince charming so kind and attentive to Jess.   And their family and friends were all so happy, friendly and wanting to help in any way they could! It was just a happy day all around.

Jess and Jason were married at  the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Church by three priests and a bishop with a choir of 20 people.  It was such a moving ceremony with so many beautiful traditions.  Following the ceremony, they went to Devens Common Center for the reception where they enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oevures both inside and outside.  And since the couple didn’t have a first look, they spent the time between the ceremony and reception taking their photos, but were also able to enjoy a good part of their cocktail hour, which was nice!

The Bishop recited an Opening Prayer which was followed by the best man and maid of honor toasts.  At the end of the maid of honor toast, Jess’ sister, she began singing “A Thousand Years” to the bride and groom, when they got up with their “surprise” first dance.   After their first dance, Jess and Jason took the opportunity to thank their guests for coming to the wedding and introduced a special photo montage.  And then…they danced the night away!
