Michelle Lasker Schaufeld Owner / Event Coordinator

After nearly 10 years as a full service event planner in New England, Michelle recognized the need for a company geared specifically toward on-site event management.  In 2006, The Day Of was born. Event coordination is no longer considered to be a luxury.  It is the foundation of a successful event and one of the most important components to ensure that everything goes off without a hitch.  
Michelle has always found herself in the creative world.  After graduating from college with a Major in Communication and a Minor in Fashion Merchandising, she ran a Boston area ad agency’s Traffic Department where she fine tuned her organizational skills.  With a fast pace and creative environment up her sleeves, she moved on to Hopple Popple, one of Boston’s premier full service event planning companies. As an event designer she planned and executed social events. 
Michelle is recognized by her clients as a fun, enthusiastic, detail-oriented and well-organized person who clearly loves what she does. Living in the ‘burbs with her wonderfully supportive husband, Michelle is raising two beautiful daughters, and spends her free time taking her Black Lab Colby on doggie playdates, practicing yoga and fundraising for Aid For Cancer Research.

Kelsey Walzer Event Coordinator

Kelsey, a native of the Boston area, joined The Day Of in 2013. She graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Communication Management and Design. So it’s no surprise that her passion for all phases of event design, coordination and execution shines bright!

Kelsey is instrumental in her role as a “day of coordinator” and has excelled in a variety of events including weddings, Bar and Bat Mitzvah’s, and corporate events such as sporting events and meeting receptions. Kelsey’s attention to detail and collaborative nature combine to ensure a successful event. She looks forward to helping make your special event one to remember for a lifetime.




Garbriella Giangregorio Event Coordinator

Garbriella, a Lasell College student working towards a bachelors degree in Hospitality/Event Management and Business Law joined our team Spring of 2014! With a love of working with clients towards their dream wedding and the ability to pay attention to details, she was a perfect fit with the The Day Of’s team.

Though Garbriella is fairly new to the wonderful world of special events, she could not see herself working in any other industry. Besides the events that she has worked with us, over this past spring she and a team of event majors from Lasell College worked with Newton City Hall. Together they coordinated the 22nd Annual Heartbreak Hill road race, in which had record setting participants, attendees, and press due to their creative marketing strategies and event design concepts.

Garbriella’s goal with every event that she has her hands in, is to not only make it memorable for the client, but an event that the attendees will speak highly of years down the line.


Rebecca Carey Event Coordinator 

With hundreds of weddings, mitzvahs another special events under her belt, Rebecca takes charge with cool confidence while her clients relax and enjoy their special event! Rebecca earned her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration at Umass Amherst in 2006, and began her career producing events at Siagel Productions before moving on to Harrington Farm as a Wedding Coordinator. She began coordinating events for The Day Of in 2008 and we are thrilled with her return. Rebecca explains her day-of philosophy: “While keeping all the tiny details in check, it is paramount to keep the big picture in mind at the same time.  If your guests aren’t dancing and having a great time, it won’t matter how beautiful that place card table is. But when everything flows correctly, your carefully planned details are the the cherry on top of a perfect event!”




Callie Barrett Event Coordinator 

Callie grew up on the South Shore where she discovered her love for events at a young age. By sixth grade she was skipping recess to plan her classmates’ birthday celebrations, a clear indicator that this was her calling!

Callie graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, but wasn’t until she worked at Esquire Magazine that she was introduced to special events. Callie has had the opportunity to work on everything from corporate events and campus tours to Fashion Week and Superbowl parties. She is extremely detail-oriented and efficient when it comes to event planning and loves putting all of the pieces together to make each event come to life. Callie truly loves every aspect of event coordination and hopes to make your day as special as possible!
